Akhir-akhir ini lagi sering baca-baca novel berbahasa inggris, hanya supaya gak hilang kemampuan bahasa inggrisnya. Aaaaannnnndddd, as you can expect, banyak nemu kosakata atau frase baru yang gak dipahami, salah satunya ini nih (Dicatat disini, biar gak lupa, hehehe):
Vessel Person: a person who has a particular quality or who is used for a particular purpose: As a young and spirited politician, he seems a worthy vessel for the nation's hopes. SMART Vocabulary: related words and phrases.
Rubbing off on me meaning: rub off (on/onto somebody) (of personal qualities, behaviour, opinions, etc.) to become part of a person's character as a result of that person spending time with somebody who has those qualities, etc. Her sense of fun has rubbed off on her children. Let's hope some of his good luck rubs off on me!
Meeting halfway: If you meet someone halfway, you accept some of the points they are making so that you can come to an agreement with them.
